2017 Summer College Boot Camp
Our 5th Annual, Summer College Boot Camp hosted 18 amazing high school scholars in a week long program that developed their scholarship and college packages, career skills, as well as financial literacy through an intensive preparatory process. This year's program was sponsored by the Citizens Committee and hosted at Viacom Media Networks.
2017 Boston College Tour
Our high school Scholars were provided the opportunity to visit the Boston colleges and universities of Babson College, Wellesley College, MIT, Northeastern University, and Harvard University. Our Trip was also sponsored by Bloomberg LP.
2017 SEED University Leadership Seminar
The 2017 Seed University Leadership Seminar was hosted in Washington DC at Trinity Washington University and focused on the professional development of our University Scholars; represented across 22 colleges and universities to ensure a successful transition from college to career. The young women learned about graduate school options, built a powerful LinkedIn profile, built a personal website, and heard from speakers across industries from Harvard Medical School to start ups. The Seminar was sponsored by the EILEEN FISHER FOUNDATION.
2018 Seed University - Financial Empowerment Day
We hosted our 2018 Financial Empowerment Day in partnership with the Financial Gym, in order to teach college women of color about the power of savings, budgeting, and credit. The workshop took place on January 3, 2017 at 6:00 pm in New York City at the Financial Gym head quarters. Our Seniors were provided financial advisors and sponsored by the EILEEN FISHER FOUNDATION and the financial gym. The Financial Gym exists to help people with an affordable and trustworthy option to achieve financial freedom. They will help you with your full financial picture: outline your goals, budget, savings, investments and continually optimize to help you accomplish your life goals.
2018 Seed University - A Seat at the Table
A Seat at the Table is an intimate Networking Event hosted at the EILEEN FISHER Creative Center that provides professional networking opportunities to our scholars to help them understand how to excel as they start their careers. The 2018 theme was "Building Toward Your Future".
